Carlton Lakes was first developed in 1996 and was one of the first communities to branch out onto Livingston Road off of Immokalee Road. In total, eight hundred homes were built in this well laid out community. Home building styles found in Carlton Lakes include single-family homes, carriage homes, garden homes, villas, and condominiums. Of the eight hundred, five hundred and fifty were built as condominiums and two hundred and fifty were built as single-family homes. All these homes are built within the confines of two hundred and forty five acres, with approximately forty five of those acres being set aside for thirty astonishing lakes with automated fountains, serving as an excellent back porch view for several of the houses and condominiums. In addition, residents may choose to walk, jog, or bike their way through the evergreen nature paths towards the northern part of the community. Stepping outside the community, are amenities that are just as exciting on the ones found within Carlton Lakes. Extravagant shopping centers and fine dining locations are littered throughout the city and within plazas such as The Waterside Shops, Coastland Center Mall, Mercato, Miromar Outlets, Fifth Avenue, Third Street District and Coconut Point Mall. After you complete your day shopping at the endless boutiques and eating at the city’s favorite, shove you toes into the warm, white sandy beaches that are less than 10 minutes from the community while you enjoy the sought after western sunset. For winter residents, Carlton Lakes is located less than one mile from the on ramp for Interstate 75 and provides a direct route to Southwest Florida Regional Airport from there making getting to and from a simple task.
The Carlton Lakes clubhouse is an impressive 4,600 square feet central point for the community residents. This amenity center is home to several private functions, social gatherings, and homeowners association board meetings. A state-of-the-art fitness center, adorned with free weights, yoga mats, and exercise machines, is housed within as well in addition to the card and board games room. Four tennis courts with lights for nighttime games, a bocce ball court, children’s playground, and a sixty foot lap pool with sundeck can be found surrounding the Carlton Lakes clubhouse. Within each of the sub-divisions are nine satellite pools built for exclusive use of the respective buildings.
